The Light of the World Christian Tabernacle International Incorporated Association was consecrated and commissioned by continuation of Shiloh Apostolic United Church of Christ Worldwide Association (established July 7, 1968) of which Archbishop Malachi Ramsay of London, England was presiding prelate. In 1994 Bishop Jimmie L. Smith was consecrated Archbishop of the Light of the World Interdenominatal International Association. The ministries of the Shiloh Apostolic United Church of Christ Worldwide Association were placed under the auspice of the Light of the World Interdenominational International Association to continue the work of retiring Archbishop Malachi Ramsay (Apostle Peter Anointing).
The Light of the World Interdenominational International Association (LOTWIIA) is an organization consisting of churches and ministries from various Christian denominations throughout the world, and is a joint venture to:
Promote the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ locally, nationally and internationally. Promote the unity of the “Body of Christ” is an effort to further the “Kingdom of God” as a vital part of the domestic and international community. Promote the success of each affiliate pastor in the fulfillment of the vision God has given his/her particular ministry. Promote the effectiveness of more devoted stewardship by establishing a “network” of research and resource facilities with a common point exchange. Promote the development and enhance the level of preparation available for any individual desiring to serve in a ministerial capacity.
The LOTW Association is not a politically inclined or governmentally influenced organization neither is it a governing body for the churches or ministries affiliated within its organization structure. The belief of this association is that each church and each pastor maintain the complete freedom to express the move of the Holy Spirit upon their particular ministry. We are not to be viewed as another arena of division within the Christian community, but rather as a point of unity.
We are interdenominational in scope and international in our reach. As “fishers of men.” we are commanded to “launch out into the deep, and let down our nets for a draught.” We fully believe in the ministry of networking with other members of the Christian community, as this method is ordained of God and is in direct obedience to the word of God.
The LOTW Association presently has members in thirty- four countries and a membership of over 200,000.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Mathew 5:16
Area ministries are primarily focused on its particular zip code, but they will also include attendees from other areas. Each area ministry works within the church body as a whole, they also work with and assist each group ministry in helping them to minister in that area. For instance, an area ministry team works with the church as a whole in evangelism efforts, as well as working with group ministries such as the Youth, Women, and Men in helping them evangelize their particular people group. Even though the ministry deals with a specific group of people, it is not focused on ministering in all areas to that group.

Light of the World believes missions are God's design and his heart from the beginning. We in the Church today have mistakenly thought of missions as a New Testament thing, a relatively new idea, but the truth is God has desired all peoples, nations, and tongues come to him from the beginning. God's covenant with Abraham was that he would bless nations. Short term missions are the vehicle through which we mobilize people onto life-long discipleship, long-term missions. Not only do we desire for your perspective to change but for your life to be transformed; to see a generation radical and sold out for God. Within a relatively short period of time, your own life and a stranger’s life can be powerfully changed through the desire to give to a community. Your presence during a mission trip speaks more than a thousand words through your simple love and willingness to serve. Light of the World believes in telling Jesus’ story, in listening to other’s life stories and coming together to transform hearts; a mission trip is the perfect time to connect.
There are no limits in territory, people, places, or methods used to reach those who are lost; and God’s desire is that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9). God has a specific plan for us, a direct call and a clear will for every person. There are countless physical and spiritual needs in communities today – in your own backyard, across the country, in big cities, on reservations, and in small towns. Any amount of time spent in service will leave you transformed from the love, strength and resilience you find in those you meet. Short term missions are often more life changing and impacting for participants than those you came to serve! The time can give you fresh eyes with which to view your home, working as a vehicle for further change. Light of the World offers several mission trips in the United States and internationally throughout the year.
